Our Thanksgiving Holiday in Utah

We were able to travel up to Utah for our Thanksgiving holiday. One great perk of being a teacher is getting the entire week of Thanksgiving off, so we made our way to Salt Lake City on Monday of that week. It was so fun to get to stay with our close friends the Kimballs, they were wonderful host and we had so much fun spending the holiday together. We also got to catch up with college buddies, take a ride on the Polar Express, and go skiing at Brighton. We also got to visit w/ Stephen's brother Adam and his family and had a pit stop in Saint George where we stayed with Stephen's sister and her husband. It was so fun to see everyone and to show Hayden the hospital and house he was born in...it is still so weird to think we ever lived in Utah all those years ago, one thing is for sure...a Florida girl just can't ever get use to the cold!!!

Under the Sea w/Chloe aka Ariel

So this year the princess decided to be Ariel from The Little Mermaid...she even had a red wig...that only stayed on for a minute or two! At our church's Halloween party, Ariel got on stage and danced all night long to her favorite disney songs! She looked really cute and had a great time prancing around all night long!!!

Hulk SMASH

Madden was the "incredible hulk" this year!!!He loved having big muscles and after a long night of tricker treating said "Mom, lets do this again tommorow"....well I convinced him it would be best to wait a year before doing this again...he finally agreed!!

Indiana Jones today....PIMP tomorrow!!

This year Hayden was Indiana Jones, we found his jacket for only $20 and the rest of his costume was easily put together. Hayden expressed his frustration that every year everyone has the same costume as him. We had to explain to him every year he picks the most popular superhero, so he mentioned last night next year he was going to be a "PIMP"...WHAT???? After I expressed much concern and asked for an explaination of what a "PIMP" was he figured by my reaction that was not a good idea and then changed his mind!!! I guess that the brightside of the story is now he is embarresed of saying that and it is obivious he doesn't know what a "Pimp" actually is...for now at least!

Halloween 2008

Halloween Fun 2008-This year was filled with lots of halloween fun!!!Halloween parties at church and school, trick or treating at Grandpa and Grandma's house, pumpkin patches and pumpkin carving! Now the kids are old enough to really get into all the action!

A Beach Day in October!?!

Oh yes...its October and we are at the beach! On a whim, (and the desire to escape 90 degree weather in October) we packed it up and headed to one of our favorite spots in Oceanside. The water was FREEZING!!!But that does not really matter to these 3 kids. Chloe atleast would put her wetsuit on! We had a fun time jumping waves and enjoying the 75 degree weather at the beach. It did make me really appreciate my warm Florida beach water, but I will take what I can get. After I buried everyone in the sand, we headed home after a stop at McDonalds and Starbucks!!! It was a wonderful day!!! Now we really are ready for our fall weather...any day now!!!
